Funcom is looking for an enthusiastic, talented and versatile VFX Artist to join its development team in Oslo, working on the title «Conan Exiles» as well as future projects.

As VFX Artist your focus will be creating, implementing and optimizing particle visual effects for a wide variety of ambient and uses. Working alongside a talented team of artists and animators you will help set the mood and feel for a wide variety of environments while also enriching animations to create memorable gameplay experiences. Under guidance of the Art Director and equipped with basic shading knowledge of your real-time engine you are comfortable in getting the best bang for the bug on every pixel or vertex you craft, making your 3d render programmers happy and proud of your achievements.

Requirement:
  • Solid and recent experience as a VFX Artist in a AAA game
  • Proven expertise with Unreal or other real time engines
  • Expertise with Photoshop or others 2d editing tools
  • Experience with 3ds Max, Maya or equivalent
  • Able to work in a team setting
  • To take direction from the animation director and art director, and to deliver consistently on time
  • Proactive, independent and self-driven 

Desirable:
  • Games industry experience with at least one AAA game credit
  • Experience with visual effects
  • Experience with Unreal or similar game engine
  • Experience with playing MMORPGs or other games
